HOLLYWOOD - Movie funnyman Adam Sandler got a special Hollywood honor May 17--but still failed to impress his mother. The comic added his hand and footprints to the Hollywood Boulevard Walk of
Fame and upset his mother with his plans to wear shorts for the unveiling.
He says, "I called her up and said, 'Just to warn you, I'm wearing shorts
today, ma... It's California, it's hot.'
"She said, 'Well, you're not hot, you're not from California you're from New
Hampshire...' so I wore my pants."
But the honor wasn't lost on 50 First Dates star Sandler: "We're standing on
some incredible people and I think I'm the 186th little cement thing here."
