We already knew Adele would be getting a decent amount of stage time at this year's Grammy Awards (given that she's nominated in six categories), but now it's confirmed that the British songstress will actually be singing that night as well. This will be her first performance since she had throat surgery two months ago, which makes this event even more exciting. Music's biggest night just got a little bit better.
The singer confirmed the news herself via Twitter this morning, writing, "It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait." Additionally, she released a statement, saying, “I’m immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards. It’s an absolute honor to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all.” That's proof enough - this is the real deal.
Do you hear that, everyone? Adele's voice is all fixed and we'll be hearing that unbelievable voice of hers again in just a matter of weeks! Let's all take this moment to breath a collective sigh of relief.
The Grammys will air live on Sunday, February 12 at 8 p.m. (ET) on CBS. Get ready to be rolling in Adele!
