Allen Elected to SAG Board


HOLLYWOOD - In a perfect addendum to a long and illustrious career, late comedian Steve Allen has been elected to the Screen Actors Guild board, Daily Variety reports.

Allen, who died of a heart attack on Oct. 31 at his son’s home in Encino, Calif., was among 32 individuals chosen to join SAG’s national board of directors.

Actors Valerie Harper and Tom Bosley were also elected to the board.

According to the report, SAG officials have said that they will fill Allen’s vacancy as quickly as possible.
