Anderton quits London after harassment case

The reality TV star was targeted by Paul Davis after he obtained her cell phone number and bombarded her with calls and text messages between January and April last year (09).

He was found guilty of harassment at a court hearing in London last week (25Mar10), when he was given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered not to contact Anderton again.

But she has been so shaken by the case, she has improved her security arrangements, moved out of London, and set up home "in the middle of nowhere" to avoid the attentions of obsessed fans.

Anderton tells British show GMTV, "I really cherished my freedom, like running around on the Underground (London subway) and stuff, because it's so much easier than driving in London. But I couldn't do that. I couldn't go to restaurants, I wouldn't go to events. I found it very intimidating and very intrusive.

"He can't find me because I've moved to the country and I live in the middle of nowhere. That was a lifestyle choice and I am very happy. It's great for me personally. My post goes to my management office and my phone's not in my name. I don't want to risk this happening again. I had to really take a good look at what was going on in my life. It's made me realise I want to be much more private."
