HOLLYWOOD - Angelina Jolie has pleaded with the international community to help millions ofAfghan refugees living in Pakistan.
The Hollywood beauty and United Nations goodwill ambassador spent four days
touring refugee camps near the Asian country's border with Afghanistan before
meeting Pakistani president, General Pervez Musharraf, on May 6.
The Oscar-winning beauty says, "I ask the international community to do more
to fund and help shoulder the burden of this part of the world.
"I met a woman who was about to get on a truck with a small baby. I do not know how she is going to survive, and how she will be able to make a living, to find food, to find health care. So it is very, very difficult but many people are moving back."
An estimated three million Afghans remain in camps and cities in Pakistan
despite the collapse of the Taliban regime in 2001.
