Say it isn't so?! This really can't be The E.N.D. to one of the hottest bands of this past decade. Thankfully it has been discovered that this is totally not true, and that the Black Eyed Peas are in fact not splitting up, BUT they are taking a break (apparently there's a difference)....and as of right now it's indefinite. Rumors started circulating about the band going their separate ways, but it was confirmed when Fergie announced at the final U.K. gig that, "this is the last time...for a long time," that they'll be performing together. So sad! Will.i.am also tweeted earlier this month, "The @Bep will take a break after the beginning…just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d…but it doesn't mean we stop creating." Let's hope not, the world wants more BEP ASAP! Alright, I'll admit I'm not a huge fan -- some songs are a little too techno sounding for me -- but I do enjoy a good fist pumping session out on the dance floor to I Gotta Feeling. Let's not panic though, they've gone on break before and come back with a Boom Boom Pow!
I suppose they have earned the right to have a break since they have released several albums and performed several tours right in a row, but why take a break now? Fergie doesn't want us to worry too much and parted their final concert saying, "This isn't going to be the last time you'll see us." We'll hold you to that, but in the mean time, I'm sure the press will have a field day trying to uncover secret reasons for the temporary split. Let the baby rumors begin!
