HOLLYWOOD - Fans of Jason Bateman and Portia De Rossi's acclaimed comedy Arrested Development have been urged to sign a "loyalty oath" if they want the show to return for a second series.Bosses at Fox are alerting fans that if they wish to save the sitcom they must sign an "Arrested Development Loyalty Oath" in which they pledge "never-ending loyalty and allegiance to the best comedy on television today".
While the show is a critics' darling and winner of three Emmy trophies it has yet to draw in huge ratings.
A Fox representative says that the loyalty oath--which appears at GetArrested.Com--is a means to get fans of the sitcom to persuade other people to watch the show.
