Hollywood - Moulin Rouge had an elaborate premiere at an 11-screen multiplex in Sidney Monday night before 3,000 invited guests, with star Nicole Kidman introducing the film in each theater in the complex. The Sydney Daily Telegraph called it "the glitziest premiere the city has ever seen." Among the invited guests were Sarah Michelle Gellar (who reportedly chartered a private plane to fly to the premiere with other cast members of Scooby Doo, which is shooting on the Gold Coast), Brendan Fraser, directors Jan Campion and Phillip Noyce and Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann.
