Could Tom Cruise have a new movie coming out?
Yep, that's usually the case when it comes to celeb mea culpas.
The butt of tabloid (and blog) jokes for his couch-jumping, his Scientology ties, his relationship with actress
Katie Holmes and his anti-Brooke Shield rants -- and let go from his longtime contract with Paramount because of said wacky behavior --
Cruise tells the
UK Daily Mirror, "There are things that I could have done better. I could have handled things better."
Need we mention that his new movie,
Valkyrie, comes out in a month? Need we mention that his last flick,
Lions for Lambs, died a quick death?
The repentant Cruise, however, says there was a bright spot to all the adverse publicity: It actually made his relationship with
Holmes stronger. "I was surprised by the criticism," he told the paper, "but it brought everyone close together.
Katie's entire family and my family.”
Cruise continues, “Going through that stuff is not pleasant, and I think it hit an extreme, but
Kate's a very sure and confident and strong woman. She gets it, you know."
