The actress relocated to the Big Apple in 2009 to star in Ashton Kutcher's fashion series The Beautiful Life, which was later cancelled, but she recently announced plans to stay in the city.
And she's putting her plan into action by selling off her luxurious home in Los Angeles. Barton bought the six-bedroom, 10-bathroom property for $6.4 million (£4.2 million) in 2005, while she was starring in teen show The O.C.
She's now put the property on the market for $8.4 million (£5.5 million), which would net her a $2 million (£1.3 million) profit.
