Biggest European studio be built in England
HOLLYWOOD - Famed British production designer Peter Lamont, whose credits include most of the James Bond movies as well as Titanic, True Lies, and Aliens, has announced plans to build the largest studio campus in Europe, located in the southwest of England. Lamont said Wednesday that his company, Full Picture, has commitments of $94 million from backers for the 200-acre site that will include sound stages, post-production facilities and a tourists' visitors center. Currently four locations are being considered, Lamont said, adding that he expects the complex to go into operation in 2005.
