HOLLYWOOD - Larry Birkhead is to be sued by his former attorney for defamation, fraud and breach of contract.
Debra Opri filed a lawsuit at the County Superior Court in Los Angeles on Monday accusing her former client of slander during an appearance on talk show Larry King Live.
The files state Birkhead "impugned both Opri's ethics and her professional reputation."
In July, Birkhead began legal proceedings against Opri after accusing her of defrauding him out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
He also claims Opri promised to represent him free of charge in his custody battle for Dannielynn, his 1-year-old daughter with late model Anna Nicole Smith, earlier this year.
But Opri argues Birkhead refused to pay $650,000 in legal fees following the court case.
Opri is seeking compensation in the latest lawsuit, according to TMZ.com.
