HOLLYWOOD - The producers of upcoming James Bond offering Casino Royale have explained why they're keeping new 007 Daniel Craig on board for the next movie.
Craig, who took over the role from Pierce Brosnan, has just signed a contract committing him to at least one more outing as the suave superspy--before his first Bond film is even released.
However, his commitment to the franchise and early glimpses of Casino Royale have earned him the whole-hearted backing of producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
In a statement released yesterday they say, "Daniel has taken the origins of Ian Fleming's James Bond portraying, with emotional complexity, a darker and edgier 007."
