HOLLYWOOD - The limited-edition Aston Martin sports car Daniel Craig drove in Casino Royale had to be fished out of Italy's Lake Garda on Saturday after an on-set accident during filming of the latest 007 film.
Reports suggest a driver delivering the one-of-a-kind vehicle to the Italian set of Quantum of Solace skidded off a narrow road in torrential rain, and plunged the car into the water.
The driver swam to safety and was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The film crew acted quickly to pull the waterlogged car out of the lake, using a crane.
As WENN went to press, it was not known how badly the car was damaged--or if the vehicle will be used in the new Bond film, as planned.
