HOLLYWOOD - Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has been warned that if he ever returns to the Romanian town which stood in for his Borat character's Kazakhstan home, he will be impaled.
Citizens in Glod, Romania, are angry with how Cohen made them look foolish in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Local Gheorgie Pascu tells British newspaper The Sun, "We were never told it was a comedy and have been made to look stupid.
"Borat is a son-of-a-bitch who made us look like savages.
"This is Transylvania, home of Dracula. If he ever returns we will stick a stake in his backside and impale him. Then I would cut his b*lls off."
British Cohen portrays a fictitious Kazakhstani TV reporter in the film, which pokes fun at people's stereotypes towards countries they have little or no knowledge of.
