Brooks' son charged with murder
Nicholas Brooks was held by cops on charges of strangulation and attempted murder after the body of Sylvie Cachay was found at a luxury hotel in New York City last month (Dec10).
Tests last week (ends31Dec10) revealed the swimsuit designer was killed by a combination of strangulation and drowning - and the charge against Brooks has now been upgraded to second-degree murder, according to the New York Daily News.
