HOLLYWOOD - Bruce Willis has gone on the attack against Americans who constantly criticise their army's role in the occupation of Iraq.
The Sixth Sense star insists too many people are being duped by U.S. media
bosses who are failing to highlight the positive stories coming out of Iraq,
and he's sick of hearing fellow Americans "spitting on" troops fighting in the
troubled state.
Willis suggests opponents of the war should visit troops in Iraq, like he
did, to get a real sense of what's going on there.
The 49-year-old says, "Nobody is pro war. I am against terrorism. I would
like to see terrorism stopped. Those are my politics as it concerns the world.
"I went to Iraq to see for myself what was going on over there. I don't watch
the news. I don't read newspapers. I don't rely on what I feel is a manipulated
form of information from reading newspapers and the electronic media.

"That theory was confirmed when I went to Iraq because what I saw when I was
over there was soldiers - young kids for the most part - helping people in
Iraq; helping getting the power turned back on, helping get hospitals open,
helping get the water turned back on and you don't hear any of that on the
news.
"You hear, 'X number of people were killed today,' which I think does a huge
disservice. It's like spitting on these young men and women who are over there
fighting to help this country.
