Bush Receives Worst Actor Nomination

Fahrenheit 911
HOLLYWOOD - American President George W. Bush is the surprise recipient of a Worst Actor nomination--for his part in Michael Moore's controversial film documentary Fahrenheit 9/11.

The Golden Raspberry Foundation, which names and shames last year's biggest flops, voted for Bush's appearance in news and archival footage from Moore's movie, which criticizes the President for his actions surrounding the tragic New York terrorist attacks on September 11th.

US Secretary of State-designate Condoleeza Rice also got a Worst Supporting Actress nomination and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is expected to win in the Worst Supporting Actor category.

Ceremony founder John Wilson says, "It wasn't Mr. Moore's editing. It's the raw footage of these people just making fools of themselves."

The nominations were released yesterday and the winners will be announced on February 26, a day before the Oscar ceremony.
