The 61-year-old composer revealed last month (Oct09) he is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. He had surgery three weeks ago and was expected to be on the road to recovery.
But Webber hit a setback after doctors diagnosed him with an infection and rushed him back to hospital for urgent treatment.
A representative for the star confirmed the news in a statement: "Andrew has been re-admitted to hospital following his operation for prostate cancer. He has been advised that while the operation was entirely successful, he has developed a post-operative chronic infection which needs immediate treatment."
