- A string of celebrities descended on the tiny Gloucestershire, England, village of Winchcombe to celebrate
Elizabeth Hurley
's wedding to Arun Nayar yesterday.
The couple was secretly married at Sudeley castle on Friday, with just a few family members and close friends for witnesses, but guests including
Elton John
, Donatella Versace and supermodel
Elle Macpherson
were present on Saturday for a blessing and lavish marquee reception.
Singer
John
made the biggest entrance, arriving by helicopter at the castle.
However,
Hurley
's ex, Hugh Grant, was markedly absent in spite of reports he'd show up following his recent split from Jemima Khan.
In all, around 90 guests crowded into St. Mary's Church on the grounds of the sprawling estate, while the rest observed the romantic service via a big screen in the nearby marquee.
After the ceremony guests were treated to a four-course meal and bottles of vintage champagne.
Hurley
and Nayar will continue their celebrations in India later this week with a traditional Hindu ceremony followed by a 10-day honeymoon in the Seychelles.
