Celebrities headline July Fourth gala

HOLLYWOOD - Mel Gibson, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Whoopi Goldberg, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey are among some of the stars who will read the Declaration of Independence at July Fourth TV gala to be produced by Norman Lear, The Associated Press reports. The reading will be broadcast live on ABC from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and will include a Garth Brooks concert and fireworks. Lear and a partner paid a record $8.14 million last year for a 1776 copy of the Declaration of Independence.
