Dave Chappelle Sets New Stand-Up Record at Laugh Factory

Dave Chappelle
HOLLYWOOD - Funnyman Dave Chappelle has set a new record at Hollywood comedy club The Laugh Factory, after performing for six hours and seven minutes.

Dave Chappelle hit the stage at 10:36 p.m. on Sunday and continued cracking jokes until 4:43 a.m.--beating previous record holder Dane Cook's three-hour-and-50-minute routine, which took place just last Tuesday.

Venue boss Jamie Masada says, "It was just one of those nights. He had everyone laughing for six hours."

However, Chappelle was fined $2,200 for using the ‘n’ word during his comedy routine in a sketch where he poked fun at comedian Michael Richards' infamous performance at the same venue last year.

The Laugh Factory introduced its fine system for using the word following that incident.
