Chenoweth mistakes scruffy fan for homeless person
The pint-sized star was enjoying a morning snack with a pal on the streets of New York when the pair was approached by a dishevelled woman - and Chenoweth thought she was hungry.
But the star was stunned when she offered the stranger some food - and discovered too late the woman was just a big fan of her work.
The actress explains, "This woman came up to me and she hadn't brushed her hair in a while and she had a couple of bags and I might have made an assumption about her. But she said, 'Excuse me.' And I said, 'You can have my muffin, yes you can.' And she said, 'I'm a big fan.' I thought she was hungry. She got mad at me."
