Clive Owen Joins The IRA... Movie

Clive OwenClive Owen is one hell of an actor. Then again, he's British and most actors from the UK are pretty darned good. But Owen is just a little bit better than most British actors. Maybe it's the mustache. I’m not sure if that makes too much sense, but I did swap out my morning OJ for my morning whiskey, so we’ll see.

Anyway, Owen has joined Man on a Wire director James Marsh’s latest film, an untitled thriller about the IRA, the Northern Ireland military group. Owen will play a former member who turns becomes an informant. Although Marsh won an Oscar for his incredible documentary, this isn’t his first time he's wading into the features water. He helmed one of the amazing Red Riding Trilogy’s installments, among other things, and has landed Gillian Anderson, Andrea Riseborough, and Aidan Gillen for the IRA movie (that’s alliteration right there).

I’m going to go ahead and call this one hell of a British film. If Owen’s ‘stache is any indication, this is going to live up to all of our expectations and then some.
