Club Employee Confesses to Killing Lil' Kim Party Guest

Lil Kim
HOLLYWOOD - The nightclub worker arrested in connection with the death of a woman at rapper Lil' Kim's birthday party has confessed to committing the crime.

Syed Rahman, an employee at New York's Spotlight Live, was charged with second-degree murder on Thursday, August 7, after admitting to killing Ingrid
Rivera at the celebration in Times Square on Sunday, August 3.

New York Police Department officers arrested Rahman on Thursday, a day after Rivera, 24, was found beaten to death on the roof of the karaoke
bar.

Authorities say Rivera, a Lil' Kim fan who had even paid to attend the event, had met Rahman while drinking at the bar, and had chatted to him with a
friend.

Later in the night, Rivera was ejected from the club after she accidentally walked into the men's restroom.

At around the same time, Rahman, who had worked at the club for four years, tried to lure Rivera's friend to the roof by claiming Rivera was there. The
witness claims she then refused his sexual advances.

Rahman then located Rivera outside and tried to lure her to the roof by telling her he could get her back in the club through an employee's entrance.

At approximately 2.45 am, Rahman bludgeoned her to death with a lead pipe inside a utility shed atop the venue, according to police.

Rahman, who has no prior criminal convictions, now faces a maximum penalty of life inmprisonment if he is found guilty of murder.
