Cooper drums up a fuss for new movie
The Mamma Mia! star plays hard-living rock star Ben Sergeant opposite former Bond girl Gemma Arterton in the upcoming film, and was determined to look authentic by learning an instrument.
He kitted his apartment out with a set of drums and loved bashing out a rhythm - but he soon had to quit his new hobby when local council officials ordered him to keep the noise down.
Cooper tells Empire magazine, "I took to drums really quickly. I bought a kit, and then immediately bought a better kit. But I got a letter from the council to have them removed... I was just having a damn good time."
