HOLLYWOOD - Director Sofia Coppola gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.
The Marie Antoinette moviemaker, 35, and her musician partner Thomas Mars have named their newborn daughter Romy, in honor of Coppola's brother Roman.
It's the first child for the writer/director, who won an Oscar for her screenplay Lost in Translation.
She was previously married to filmmaker Spike Jonze for four-and-a-half years before they divorced in 2003.
