Ah, remember the good old days when sexy young Courteney Cox got us all hot and bothered by boogeying down with Springsteen?
How time flies. Now Cox is a cougar.
And how fortuitious that she's following her defunct gossip-mag series
Dirt with a new sitcom, aptly titled
Cougar Town. At least this one has a pedigree: Being developed as a pilot for ABC, it's creator (
Bill Lawrence) and writer (
Kevin Biegel) are both graduates of
Scrubs, and Lawrence was a writer on Friends.
Cox, who guest-starred on the opening three episodes of the upcoming season of Scrubs, plays a divorced 40-year-old hottie/mom with a 17-year-old son. Maybe
Sarah Chalke, who plays Elliot on
Scrubs, will make a guest appearance as the side kick puma (not quite a cougar yet).
