HOLLYWOOD - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has denied he made a comment that won him the Ernie Award for most sexist celebrity in Australia last Thursday.
Before the birth of his daughter Suri with fiancée Katie Holmes, Cruise was reported to have said earlier this year, "I've got Katie tucked away so no one will get to us until my child is born."
And the alleged remark was cited at Sydney's Ernie Awards--which honors the worst derogatory public statements--where Cruise was named the most sexist star.
But his representative, Arnold Robinson, says, "Tom's comments that they have attributed to him are completely fabricated.
"Anyone who knows him knows that he is a complete gentleman and would never, ever say such a thing. He has the utmost respect for women.
"His mother, his sisters, Kate and his children are the most important things in the world to him. Women have always played a positive and important role in who he is as a man."
