HOLLYWOOD - Actor Willem Dafoe was stunned when he met his American Dreamz co-star Dennis Quaid for the first time, because the Alamo star was so rude.
Dafoe shaved his head and donned a hairpiece and a prosthetic belly to portray the Dick Cheney-esque White House Chief of Staff in the new comedy, leaving him virtually unrecognizable.
Quaid, who plays the president in the film, was stumped when he first met Dafoe because he had no idea who he was.
The Spider-Man star explains, "After I got into wardrobe and make-up for the first time, I ran into Dennis and I hadn't met him yet.
"I shook his hand and said, 'Hey, Dennis how are you doing?' He dismissed me, saying, 'Good, doing good,' and walked away. I thought, 'This guy is going to be a drag to work with.'
"He ran back minutes later and said, 'I didn't know it was you!"
