Jeff Daniels stars in The Squid and the Whale |
HOLLYWOOD - Actor Jeff Daniels was inspired to pursue a singing career after seeing so many other Hollywood actors expressing themselves musically.
The Squid and the Whale star was trying to raise funds for a theater company he owns in Michigan and decided to hold a concert.
After several years, the sell-out shows became so popular he even put out an album.
He says, "One of the songs I wrote is “If William Shatner Can, I Can, Too.”
"I know the last thing we need is another actor/singer/songwriter--I mean Kevin Bacon's doing it, Russell Crowe's doing it--it's just like, well, 'They're all doing it!'"
