HOLLYWOOD
-
Kristin Davis
is desperate to star in a movie version of hit TV show
Sex and the City
, and hopes costars
Sarah Jessica Parker
and
Kim Cattrall
can settle their differences and allow the project to happen.
Host network HBO and executive producer
Michael Patrick King
started planning the film as soon as the
Candace Bushnell
-created show drew to a close in 2004.
But the project stalled due to friction between
Cattrall
and
Parker
, with
Cattrall
refusing to sign up for the big-screen adaptation.
But
Davis
is hopeful they can settle their differences: "If it happened, I would be the happiest person ever on the planet."
A HBO spokesperson adds, "We always thought a
Sex and the City
movie was a great idea. We would love to make it happen."
