De Niro to receive lifetime achievement award
HOLLYWOOD - Joining past honorees Robert Altman, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro will receive the lifetime achievement award at the 11th annual Independent Feature Project Gotham Awards, Variety reports. De Niro, a six-time Oscar nominee and two-time winner, has appeared in more than 70 films and produced almost 20. The awards, which take place in October at New York's Chelsea Piers, will be taped by Bravo and aired at a later date.
