De Palma Attached to Direct Thriller 'The Key Man'

Brian De Palma is returning to the director's chair. Deadline reports that De Palma has signed on to helm The Key Man, a thriller about "a single father who's targeted by U.S. government agents because his body contains answers to important national secrets," which, when you think about it, is a pretty lousy logline. Answers to secrets? What does that even mean?

Anyhoo, the script, written by Joby Harold (Awake), is said to be "a throwback to paranoid 70s movies like Three Days of the Condor and Marathon Man." The Key Man is De Palma's first project since 2007's Redacted, one of several Iraq War-themed message films that proved to be box-office poison in the aughts.
