Molly Parker -- or as you may better know her, Miss Alma Garret from HBO's Deadwood -- will be joining Dexter this upcoming season, according to TVLine. She'll play the sister of Colin Hanks' character, the guy who we assume will spend the season getting a little too close to Dexter, since, you know, that's the only plot the show seems to know how to do anymore.
Hanks' character will be a "brilliant expert on ancient artifacts" and becomes linked to murders in Miami -- presumedly, murders by Dexter -- but nobody knows if he'll become a friend or enemy. Showtime's president recently came out and said that Season 6 will not focus on one bad dude (like in past seasons), but instead, will carry multiple arcs and bad guys. That's all fine and dandy, but Hanks is scheduled for all 12 episodes, so, uh, maybe there will just be more than one person getting a little too close to Dexter. Regardless, Dexter will kill 'em all so whatever.
