HOLLYWOOD - Comedian Tracy Morgan pleaded guilty yesterday to a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge in New York.

The 38-year-old submitted the plea in Manhattan Criminal Court in exchange for a conditional discharge, which means he must meet conditions set by the court and the case against him will be dismissed.

Judge Ellen Coin ordered the star to enter a doctor-supervised alcohol program, undertake community service and avoid being arrested again within the next six months.

His driver's license was also suspended for six months and he was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.

Morgan was a cast member on sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2003 and now appears on the sitcom 30 Rock, produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels and former costar Tina Fey.

Morgan was stopped by police on Nov. 28 and authorities said he smelled of alcohol and later failed a Breathalyzer test.

A year earlier, Morgan was arrested in Hollywood on impaired-driving charges after police stopped him for speeding and his blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit.

He pleaded no contest to the charge and was sentenced to 36 months probation, fined $390 and ordered to attend an alcohol education program.
