Depp and Dafoe cross the border

HOLLYWOOD - Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe and Mickey Rourke will join Antonio Banderas in the third installment of director Robert Rodriguez's trilogy loosely based on Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns. Once Upon a Time in Mexico: Desperado 2 will begin shooting in Mexico this week, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The trilogy began with El Mariachi in 1992 and followed with Desperado three years later. Desperado, which starred Banderas, Quentin Tarantino and Salma Hayek, grossed $25 million domestically.
