Disney to roll out "Pearl Harbor" again this week

HOLLYWOOD - In an apparent effort to exploit the Labor Day weekend to make good on its forecast that Pearl Harbor would earn $200 million domestically, Disney plans to expand the number of theater screens showing it to "well above 500" beginning Friday, Daily Variety reported today (Tuesday). It is currently showing on 116. The film has earned $195.5 million thus far. Variety observed that Disney is apparently trying to take advantage of the fact that the competition next weekend will be light.
