Doctors considered amputating Rosie's hand
HOLLYWOOD - Rosie O'Donnell revealed on Thursday's The View that doctors seriously considered amputating her staph-infected hand while she was in the hospital earlier this month. O'Donnell, 39, said: "Friday at midnight they said if in the morning [the hand] wasn't better, we'll have to take it off wherever the infection was. I was so out of it and at this point I thought, you know, if you're very famous and they can't stop your pain, you're in trouble." Doctors successfully cured the infection with three surgeries and antibiotics.
