HOLLYWOOD - Duane 'Dog' Chapman's TV show has been pulled indefinitely by A&E after racist slurs surrounding the star attracted controversy.
Dog The Bounty Hunter, one of the channel's top-rated shows, has not been cancelled but instead removed--just days after a tape of Chapman's controversial phone conversation with his son, in which the TV tough guy repeatedly used the ‘N’ word, was posted online.
In a statement, the network says, "In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog The Bounty Hunter off the network's schedule for the foreseeable future.
"We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun."
The reality TV star was heard referring to his son Tucker's Latino girlfriend as a "whore" and a "n**ger" on the tape, which landed in the hands of editors at The National Enquirer.
Chapman has since issued an apology for using the offensive language.
