Dr. Conrad Murray Found Guilty Of Manslaughter In Michael Jackson Trial

The jury finally reached a decision concerning the death of Michael Jackson and found his doctor, Conrad Murray, guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Jurors came back with the verdict after a grueling 6-week trial, concluding that Dr. Murray was responsible for the King of Pop's death on June 25, 2009. The jury deliberated for about six hours on Friday and for less than three hours today before reaching a decision at 4 p.m. EST. An emotionless Murray was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom shortly after the decision was made, and he will be held without bail pending his sentencing on November 29th. The doctor faces up to 4 years behind bars, and will most likely serve his time in L.A. County Jail.

Murray was accused of causing the singer's death by administering the powerful anesthetic propofol, and not properly supervising his patient or taking proper steps after Jackson stopped breathing. Murray contended that Jackson gave himself the fatal dose while he was out of the room. Murray chose not to testify in his own defense.
