'Dredd' Ditches Its Director

Dredd, Reliance Films' upcoming 3D adaptation of the Judge Dredd comic, has encountered some turmoil in the editing room. Citing not one but three anonymous sources, The Los Angeles Times reports that director Pete Travis was dismissed from the project "after creative disagreements with producers and executives in charge of the film reached a boiling point." Which rarely bodes well for a production. Dredd writer-producer Alex Garland is said to be taking over the post-production reigns. We wish him the best of luck.
