'Due Date' Trailer: 'Road Trip' For Middle Aged Men?

In the year 2000, Todd Phillips' first feature film, Road Trip, became an instant classic amongst the teenage set. Fans of that flick grew up to be upstanding citizens: they got an education, got a job, possibly got married and in 2009 they came out to support Phillips' The Hangover, the laugh-meister's most successful film to date and the highest grossing comedy of all time.

Now a major industry player who rivals Judd Apatow as the King of American comedy, Phillips' new film Due Date looks like it will continue his winning streak with it's blend of star power and hearty humor. In some ways, it feels like a perfect book-end to his freshman film, in that both involve a cross-country car-pool and a reunion with their respective protagonists' loved ones. Perhaps Phillips is making a message about his fans maturing along with his movies' subject matter? Doubtful, but the teaser trailer for the film, which stars Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis and Jamie Foxx, has hit the web today and left me laughing out loud in my cubicle; it should have the same effect on you. Check it below:

Warner Bros. will distribute Due Date on November 5th
