Dunkin' Donuts Star Michael Vale Dies


HOLLYWOOD - Actor Michael Vale, best known as the baker in the Dunkin' Donuts TV advertisements, has died. He was 83.

The actor died in his birthplace of New York City on Saturday following complications from diabetes, his son-in-law Rick Reil confirmed.

Vale was most famous for playing Fred The Baker in Dunkin' Donuts' ad campaign for over 15 years until he retired in 1997.

During his long career, Vale starred in Marathon Man (1976), Guerrilla Girl (1953) and The Cosby Show.
