HOLLYWOOD - On Tuesday, rap superstar Eminem announced on a radio show that he is not only back together with his ex-wife, but they may remarry in the future. The rapper referred to Kimberly Mathers, 30, as “my wife Kim” throughout the course of the show, conducted on Detroit radio station WKQI-FM’s “Mojo in the Morning” show.
In years past, Kimberly has been the recipient of countless lyrical tirades at the hands of the rapper in his songs, but Eminem, 33, said, "We have reconciled and are probably going to remarry." The couple previously married in 1999 only to divorce in 2001, kicking off a highly publicized custody battle over their young daughter.
The interview, a rarity for the press-shy Eminem--whose real name is Marshall Mathers III--coincided with the Tuesday release of his greatest hits album, titled Curtain Call.
The popular rapper also touched on his August admission to a hospital for treatment for sleep medication dependency, which came shortly after canceling his European tour. "When I went into rehab, I kind of went into it with the notion of 'I'm gonna get clean, I'm gonna get off this stuff before it gets too out of hand,'" he said.
"I'm at a point in my life right now where I feel like I don't know where my career is going," he continued. "This is the reason that we called [the album] Curtain Call, because this could be the final thing. We don't know."
