HOLLYWOOD - Rupert Everett (My Best Friend's Wedding) is likely to play King Charles I in Cromwell and Fairfax, starring Tim Roth and Dougray Scott
, about the 17th-century English Civil War, the Screen
International website reported today.
The British trade
publication said that the $23-million movie will be the first to revisit
that period of British history in more than 30 years, when Cromwell,
starring Richard Harris and Alec Guinness, was produced.
