I had a chance to see the first 20 minutes of Aardman Animations' (the geniuses behind Wallace and Gromit and the underrated Flushed Away) new film Arthur Christmas and can say that it most definitely lives up to the studios past work. Unlike most cartoons, Aardman's films have always had a strong sense of character and a respect for their creations that comes alive on the screen. Not to mention a tremendous amount of wit—their sense of humor is on par with any British comedy aimed at adults.

Arthur Christmas continues that trend, and while I've only seen the opening of the movie, the experience, combined with this whimsical new clip, has me eager to see the rest. Check out this exclusive look at a scene in which the bumbling Arthur (James McAvoy) takes flight with his GrandSanta (Bill Nighy) for the very first time. Keep in mind, when you catch it in theaters, this sleigh ride will be in 3D!
