So I was excited for Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunter prior to today, but mostly because of Gemma Arterton. Well mostly Arterton, between her thighs and lower back, that’s beside the point though. Along with Arterton, Jeremy Renner was the only other person offered a part, but now Paramount Pictures has found its evil witch: Famke Janssen.
Janssen is most recognizable as Jean Grey from the X-Men series which should help her out with the action side of the film’s equation. But she has also acted in several comedies, my personal favorite being The Ten, which should help with the comedic side of the film. Arterton and Renner play the titular fairytale heroes, some fifteen years after their bread crumb adventures. Now grown up, they seek revenge on the witch that kidnapped them. And considering Will Ferrell is executive producing? Oh yeah, its gonna be good.
