Fawcett Cancer Documentary Pulls In 8.9 Million Viewers

The heart-wrenching documentary showing Farrah Fawcett's battle against cancer drew an estimated 8.9 million viewers on television.

The former Charlie's Angels star, 62, has spent the past three years fighting anal cancer, and her friend Alana Stewart has been capturing her visits to specialists in Germany and Fawcett's attempts to come to terms with the illness.

The documentary, Farrah's Story, was aired on Friday night and NBC claims preliminary figures show it was the station's most-watched program in its Friday night slot in more than a year, excluding the Olympics.
