Ailing actress Farrah Fawcett has been released from the hospital a week after she was admitted due to abdominal bleeding.
The cancer-stricken star checked into an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles last Thursday after falling ill following a round of aggressive alternative treatment in Germany.
But the 62-year-old has now been deemed well enough to go home, leaving the medical center on Thursday afternoon.
Fawcett's physician, Dr. Lawrence Piro, confirmed the news to People.com, "She's walking and in great spirits and looking forward to celebrating Easter at home. Her home has been stocked with her favorite teas and food and she's looking forward to enjoying them.
"Farrah was discharged (Thursday) afternoon from the hospital and is at home. She was accompanied by (her partner) Ryan (O'Neal). The pain from the hematoma (internal sac of blood) has improved tremendously."
